This is so sad. I too started my little business exactly the same way as you and really disliked all the nastiness out there on FB with all the other little businesses. There are definitely some "Queens" and some cult-followings of these pages that feel threatened and then the need to put other businesses down. Keep your head held high and be proud of yourself that you have your integrity and respect for others in check. I do hope that the nasty comments about your page are deleted and your start to 2012 is positive and harmonious. X

That place remins me of my grand-parents place. They only moved into town about 15 years ago, before that, long drop loo down the paddock, irons heated up on the stove, heat the copper for a bath, all kero lights, no power, kero fridge, singer pedal sewing machine. We did so much craft with Mary as kid's, was great without all the gadgets - except for the loo of course.

Victoria- good on you! Fostering is something my hubby and I have been talking about for awhile, though I think we'll wait to our little girl is in school. It takes a special person to care for children who come from disadvantaged backgrounds, and I'm sure that any little one who comes to stay with you will absolutely thrive in your care! Rosie and Saffron. DD was disappointed that they were male so she just pretends they are girls. She even calls the bigger one the 'mother' hehe. Kids are awesome! Congrats on your new family members : )

It's amazing how things like this can happen in such small towns - but it happens in our small town aswell and is SO devastating. We are situated on the Qld and NSW border and we used to be a town with no crime...and now it's old news that Joe Bloggs got his car stolen and it was driven into the river.
Show them who's boss and keep up that great attitude...because that is one thing they can't steal from you. X

like you I didnt qualify for one when I was pregnant with Tillie ;) I was 8.5 months pregnant :) obviously being a super step mother didnt count ;) I have received a frying pan for Mothers Day...but have to admit it wasnt exactly 'the worst' as was a Le Creuset griddle one so despite thinking an 'interesting' choice...I did quite enjoy and heck if he gets me a doozie this year it will pack a punch as it goes over his head ;) x
